3D AP Portfolio

2015

Advanced Placement Courses are offered throughout the US in high school to award advanced students with college credit. During my junior year of high school I took 3D AP Studio Art. During this year long course I strove to work with a variety of mediums and create an interesting and diverse group of work.

For this project, I created jars full of objects that evoke specific memories of mine. These pieces, created from found objects, are meant to explore the topics of memory, preservation, and collection. For this project I was thinking of memories as physical objects, physical manifestations of things we only keep in our minds.
